NEX GEN COVID-19 POLICIES & PROCEDURES
INFORMATION FOR NEX GEN’S FAMILIES AND FACULTY
Nex Gen’s number one priority is upholding our commitment to maintaining safe and healthy environments for your children. We understand and share your continued concern about COVID-19 and its effects on your families and the larger community. We have created this page to share the measures we are taking to keep Nex Gen’s children, their families, and the faculty members safe. We are grateful for your continued trust and confidence in Nex Gen Learning Solutions. We will get through this situation together by working and remaining focused on doing the right things.
NEX GEN CENTER HUB AND HOME-BASED POD OPERATIONS
Nex Gen is following the guidance and directives from NJ’s state and local governments and local health departments. We are reinforcing CDC-recommended preventative measures, which we describe below.
ENRICHMENT CLASSES, TUTORING AND ALL OTHER INTERACTIVE SERVICES
Just like our Pods, we adhere to all CDC recommended masking procedures where interactions between students and instructors occur.
HOW WE'RE KEEPING YOU SAFE
Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of your children, families, and faculty. That is why we have been working hard to implement policies and procedures to help keep the Nex Gen Center Hub and our Home-Based Pods as clean and germ-free as possible.
Some of our policies and procedures include:
In order to minimize risk, all classes are kept small, consisting of no more than of 4 to 8 children.
DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP PROCEDURES
Our routines for drop-off and pick-up are designed to ensure that everyone stays healthy and safe. Only one family at a time is permitted inside the foyer, where our administration will conduct a quick health screening to ensure that your child does not have a fever above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or other flu-like symptoms. The health check is documented. Home-Based Pods are advised to maintain a similar practice.
When at the Center, a designated teacher will take your child to and from the classroom. For pick-up, a teacher will bring your child to the foyer. Please be mindful of keeping a six-foot distance from others during drop-off and pick-up.
We practice social distancing in the Center Hub throughout the day. Home-Based Pods are advised to do the same. See CDC instructions that we adhere to below.
Teachers and students alike are reminded to wash their hands well many times a day. See CDC instructions that we adhere to below.
KEEPING AREAS CLEAN
Our teachers implement a rigorous cleaning routine, many times a day where all high-touch surfaces and objects are sanitized regularly throughout the day. These include, but are not limited to all learning materials, light switches, furniture surfaces, bathrooms, and door handles.
FOOD PREP PROCEDURES
Teachers wear gloves while helping children with snack time and lunch, as needed.
We are following local health and state guidelines to ensure that we are compliant with health and safety orders. All teachers must wear face coverings at all times. Students are requested to wear face coverings unless otherwise advised by their regular teachers during virtual learning. Home-Based Pods should also follow these guidelines, or take all precautions agreed upon by the group. See CDC instructions that we adhere to below.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY CHILD IS SICK OR A FAMILY MEMBER HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH COVID-19?
For the safety of children, families and faculty at the Nex Gen Center Hub or our Home-Based Pods, anyone who is ill must stay home. If you or a loved one have been diagnosed with COVID-19, immediately alert us, and stay home. Please follow the CDC's recommendations if you are unwell or if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Once your child is better, after a 14-day quarantine, and a doctor’s OK, they may come back to the Center or Home-Based Pod. See CDC instruction below on what symptoms to look for.
